Juicing with a Blender

How to make your JUICES with a blender. (we used a vitamix)


  • Add 2 cups of water

  • Place all ingredients into your juicer

  • Blending instructions: Start with variable speed 1 and use blender tamper to push ingredients down and slowly work up to the highest speed and blend until desired consistency

  • Strain with cheesecloth (use a good cheesecloth) like this one

  • Store in airtight containers and serve chilled

  • To give your digestive system a break

  • Increase antioxidants and nutreint levels

  • Jumpstart your thyroid

  • Reduce Inflammation

 

Tips

  • Drink your juice FRESH or store is a glass airtight container in the fridge

  • Drink it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach to absorb all the nutrients

  • Eat something substantial 30 minutes after your juice or whenever you start feeling hungry.

Ginger Zinger

  • 2 stalks celery

  • ½ cucumber (peel and remove seeds)

  • 1½ cm ginger peeled

  • ½ cup parsley

  • ½ lemon (remove skin + seeds)

  • 1 green apple (remove core + seeds)

  • 2 cups spinach = 450grams


Kale + Pear

  • 2 stalks kale - stem and all

  • 1 cup spinach - 225g (half a large container)

  • 1 pear (remove core + seeds)

  • ½ lime (remove skin)

  • 3 stalks celery

  • ½ cucumber (peel and remove seeds)


Sweet Beet

  • 1 beet

  • 2 carrots

  • 3 stalks celery

  • ½ lemon (remove skin + seeds)

  • 1 cm ginger peeled

  • 1 green apple (remove core + seeds)


Iron Boost

  • ½ cucumber (peel and remove seeds)

  • 2 stalks celery

  • 2 stalks kale - stem and all

  • 1 cup broccoli

  • 1 green apple (remove core + seeds)

  • ½ lime (remove skin)


Elissa’s Thyroid Juice for inspiration

  • 1 stalk of kale

  • 3/4 cup parsley (20g)

  • 3 stalks celery

  • 2 inches fresh ginger knob (remove skin)

  • 1 apple (remove core + seeds)

  • 1 lemon (remove skin + seeds)

  • 3 parts this mixture to 1 part coconut juice
