Throughout 2020, I have been reading the Bible in chronological order as a story…HIS story. On this particular morning of October 27th was different. As I continued reading through Esther I began to have a revelation about how history just keeps repeating itself. All through the biblical era many kings and kingdoms rose to power, some doing what was good and others doing what was evil in the Lords sight.
The same remains to this day, especially in the names of our Presidents. I began to pray for President Trump and Vice President Biden realizing I truly had no idea which of these two men God wanted as President of the United States for the next four years. So I asked Him if he wanted to tell me. He told me to look up Vice President Biden’s name and what it means.
Biden means large genus of herbs native to warmer parts of both hemispheres that have divided…and it goes on but when I read the word divided the Lord began to speak to me and He said…
“Biden will further divide the people while Trump will work to further unite those that appear to not even be unite-able. Trump is my President for such a time as this, but do not think his winning will end the division. At first, it will appear to look even more divided than ever. They will move to desecrate him but they won’t succeed. Pray for him and his family and your country without ceasing. I need my prayer warriors to fight in this season.”
So I began to fast and pray for our President and his re-election and believing that election night was going to be epic and that President Trump would come back and win by the largest margin showing the whole world that only God could have done that. Man, was I wrong, it would have been great, but I am glad I was wrong, because His plans are far greater than the one I could only imagine.
God's ways are not our ways! We don’t know the next move in this game of chess, but He does! He knows all, sees all, and is sovereign over all.
Today, while I was praying for our President I began to see him tired and weary, worn out, struggling and needing the strength to finish the race he began years ago.
Friends, we are not done with this war yet. We need to keep praying and keep believing in what God said. He has told many reputable prophets that President Trump will be re-elected. He also told me as you read above that “Trump is my President for such a time as this”.
We cannot give up simply because what we see doesn’t match what He said. We need to keep the faith!
Hebrews 12: 1-2 Therefore, since we also have such a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let’s rid ourselves of every obstacle and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let’s run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking only at Jesus, the originator and perfecter of the faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
The race may look lost but it is far from over. God is not done with His plan. We must continue to live in what is coming not what we see happening right now. His word says that He doesn’t do anything He doesn’t first reveal to the Prophets. (Amos 3:7) He also said not to despise prophetic utterances. (1 Thess 5:20) So let us hold the faith and continue to pray in God’s perfect will and plan for the United States of America.
Trump is His President for such a time as this.
I believe President Trump is tired, weary, worn out, and maybe even feeling a little defeated, but he is a man that is running this race with endurance despite the daily hatred being spewed at him. He just doesn’t give up. He is fighting for us, let’s not stop fighting for him.
President Trump has endured the greatest hostility and hatred I have ever seen targeted at one person aside from Jesus Christ himself. Why? He is just a man like you and me. Yes, he has character flaws and doesn’t always say the right thing. Yes, he goes too far sometimes. But he is just a man facing a daily war against his character. He is bullied every day by the media yet he keeps going. Why? Could you keep going if every day you faced hatred, pure nasty personal hatred?
There must be only one explanation for any man to continue a war like this in the face of such hatred (without a salary, I might add).
Love:
He loves this country. He loves the people of this country. Yes, he loves you the people, all people, enough to fight for you everyday. He wants to make our lives better. He wants to ensure that this country flourishes as it used to.
How can anyone love anything enough to endure the kind of hostility and hatred this man has endured? There is only one man I know that can love this deeply and endure such hatred and hostility. This one man even loved unto death for all of humanity. Jesus.
I am not by any means suggesting that President Trump is like Jesus. I am however; suggesting that Jesus must live in our President’s heart and be guiding him to exhibit a love like this in the face of such hatred.
For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Hebrews 12:3
President Trump must be keeping his eyes fixed on Jesus who endured. How else could he continue to run this race with such tenacity and endurance in the face of constant hatred and hostility?
2020 has been a year of shaking and this election is no different. God is using this election to expose what needs to change in the system. He is shaking it so that what can be shaken is removed and what can’t be shaken may remain.
He is using this election to show His people the power of prayer!
Pray without Ceasing!
Pray into the removal of all things that do not align with His purpose and plan. Pray for the exposure of the enemies plan and for all things hidden in the dark to be brought to the light.
Hebrews 12:28-29 Since we are receiving our rights to an unshakeable kingdom we should be extremely thankful and offer God the purest worship that delights his heart as we lay down our lives in absolute surrender, filled with awe. For our God is a holy, devouring fire!
Remember, He is not done! Even the declaring and announcement of Donald J. Trump as our re-elected President of the United States will not be the end of the war. It is the beginning of something new and with that will come great opposition. Keep praying without ceasing and stay steadfast in faith.
